Silk fabrics Features

Comfortable

Silk is composed of protein fibers and has good biocompatibility with the human body. Combined with a smooth surface, it is irritating to the human body that the friction coefficient of all types of fibers is the lowest, only 7.4%. Therefore, when our delicate skin touch silk fabric , it will have a unique softness, according to the curve of the human body, so every inch of our skin is safe and considerate.

Hygroscopicity

Hydrophilic groups such as CHNH and -NH2 are also easy to distribute water due to their porosity, so they can absorb moisture or water supply in the air and retain a little bit of water. At normal temperature, it can help the skin to maintain a certain amount of moisture and not make the skin too dry.
Silk is not only a better heat dissipation performance, but also good insulation. It has fiber insulation in its porous structure. In silk fibers, there are many very thin fibers. Therefore, the appearance of 38% solid silk is actually hollow, and there is a big gap in it, which prevents the heat distribution of the air, so that the silk has a good insulation.

Heat-resistant, sound-absorbing and dust-proof

Silk fabrics have large porosity and good sound absorption. This is why, in addition to Silk clothing and Silk home textiles, they are also used for indoor decoration such as silk carpets, tapestries, curtains, wallpaper and other decorations made of silk. It can not only reduce the dust in the house, but also keep its quiet room. Because silk has moisture absorption, moisture release and moisture-proof properties, inhalation resistance and porosity, it can adjust the temperature, and it can also absorb harmful gases, dust, and microorganisms.

In addition, it is also a relatively heat-resistant fiber. It is heated to 100°C, and it is only 5-8% fragile, which is a high level of 4 to 5 times the thermal change of rayon. The burning temperature of silk is 300~400°C, which is a kind of flame-retardant fiber. It needs to be burnt, and the synthesis temperature is 200~2600°C, which is flammable and easy to melt. Therefore, as the raw material for interior decoration, silk fiber can not only play a sound insulation, dustproof, thermal effect and is characterized by flame retardancy.

Anti-UV

The tryptophan and tyrosine in silk protein can absorb ultraviolet rays, so silk fiber has good anti-ultraviolet rays. Ultraviolet radiation is very harmful to human skin. Of course, when silk absorbs ultraviolet light, it undergoes chemical changes. Therefore, silk is easy to turn yellow when exposed to the sun.
